Movember and more for Pancreatic Cancer

Sami Bouakkaz and his friend, Daniel Forde, undertook a challenging plan to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer Care and Research in St. Vincent’s. Sami’s father is currently being treated in the hospital.

Their objective was two-fold; to raise funds and to raise awareness of Pancreatic Cancer.

As well as the normal Movember activity of growing a moustache, they also committed to a fitness test of completing 200Km, running, cycling and walking, during the month. 

The outcome was a highly valuable donation of €1,120 for this vital area of medical focus in St. Vincent’s.

It must be said that, for Sami, the result was even more creditable as he had dislocated his shoulder in a fall at Halloween.
